Data center rules tabled, ballots are out, and a haunted park this weekend
Hey neighbor, welcome to the very first Tooele County 411. Here’s what’s worth knowing this week, in about five minutes.
The 411
- The data center rules are back on the drawing board. On Oct. 7 the County Planning Commission unanimously tabled Chapter 34 after 900+ residents signed a letter opposing the draft.
- Your ballot is in the mail. Ballots went out Oct. 13. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
- Tooele City plans an $11M wastewater plant upgrade. A bond will modernize the 25-year-old Water Reclamation Facility. The city says current sewer rates cover it.
- Deadly police shooting near Erda. An Oct. 14 pursuit ended in a rollover and a fatal shooting. A Utah County team is investigating.
